Dr. med. vet. Bruno Sassen〔In German a Doctorate in Veterinary medicine is abbreviated as Dr. med. vet. (''Doctor medicinae veterinariae'').〕 (13 March 1918 – 19 June 2006) was a member of the Fallschirmjäger during World War II and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross ((ドイツ語:Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes)). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
